| PDF Files I thought I'd try a new way of
sharing the family genealogies.
In case you came here from a search engine and bypassed my other pages, I want to explain that the 'Royals' are added for fun. I think just about everyone can trace their ancestors back to some royal house or other. |

beringeria.pdf![]() I was always fascinated by Berengaria(Beringeria), Queen of Castile, these are her descendants. Daughter of Alfonso VIII of Castile and Leonora of Aquitaine, she was married to Alphonso IX, King of Leon/Castile, but the marriage was annuled by the Pope because they were second cousins. Alphonso IX was called the 'Slobberer.' When her brother Henry died by accident in 1217, Berenguela (Berengaria/ Beringeria) renounced her rights to the throne, in favor of her son Ferdinand. |

I love the
Plantagenet's and have read all the books I could find on them, for
years! Since the genealogists say both of my parents descend from him,
I decided to play around with my Family Genealogy Program (LegacyFamilyTree) and see what I'd
come up with. You can tell how busy I am... Ha-ha. Oh well, it keeps me
occupied.
Supposedly, Daddy's side branches off after Edward the First, but Mama's side continues through all the Edwards, therefore, Daddy is the 22nd g-grandchild, while Mama is the 18th g-grandchild. Daddy's line comes down via the Dudley/Tatum connection and Mama's line is via the Hadley/Lindley's. This creates a duplicate line which can cause a genealogy program to go into a continuous loop, meaning that the program can crash. Legacy fixes this. Legacy is a fun program to use. Until now, though, I haven't utilized all it's potential. I have been working on genealogy for a long time now and have tried all the program's I could find online, from easy to difficult. Legacy is fantastic. If you are a newcomer to gen programs it is very user friendly, with a short learning curve. If you are experienced, well, it's a piece of cake! |
